The ER, 6:00 and my sister

So, last night I had to go to the ER with my sister. Yeah, that was fun. So I had been at Lucy's till about 2 AM watching movies with Lucy, Ann and Ann's friend Amanda. We watched leagally blonde in TBS and then they rented The Notebook, that was a pretty decent movie... a little long at 2 AM, but what ev. So, anyway, I had been doing that till 2 AM then Ann drove me home. About 7 minutes after I got home my sisters roommate, Robin, calls my house and tell my roommate Ben that my sisters roommates plan to take her to the ER and they need her medical info. Well, I wound up taking Ben's Galant (nice car) to pick them up and take them and do all the fun medical insurance stuff. My parents then came up at 2 AM to make sure things were all ok and incase she needed surgery. She didn't wound up that because Sarah had been vomiting all night she was just really dehydrated so they filled her up with all manner of saline to rehydrate her. It was a fun night, let me tell you! I saw the night side of 6 AM for the first time in, like, 3 years.. that sucked, but I guess I am a sucker for helping my little sister out. Yeah.. that's it.

MMMMMMMM.... Break.....

Well, break is almost over... it's a sad thing really, and I was just getting back into the swing of work.. oh well, have all the rest of my life for working at Sparkies or whatever..... must stay focused on the task at hand....... hm.. maybe I should just stay focused on God and let Him tell me where to go.. there is a novel idea (for those of you who might read this and are not Christian trust me, this really does work.) Anywho. Break has been good.. busier than me at school, as per usual, but good nothing the less. I met the new line manager at Sparkies over this break, his name is Scot and he is really, really cool. I must say I enjoy working with him. I work the rest of this week and then I get to go to oreientation for OCC for next year then it is back to good ol' Mount Pleasant.

I finally got what I wanted to get accomplished on break accomplished. I made it out to Motor City Guitar in Waterford and got to play a MOB47 ( a My Other Board.) This is the guitar that I have been obsessing over since I first saw it on musicians friend's web site ( I think that is where I saw it first... I think....) Anyway, I got to play that today and did so for almost a good hour. I love it even more than I did before now.. It sounds as good, if not better to me than an Elite 1778T (sorry Rich, if I had to pick it would be the MOB and not your guitar... wipe the tears from your eyes...) I really do like it a lot and, after I get my car and can save up the money I fully intend to get one, until then I will just have to make regular visits to Motor City Guitar to play on it. I also played the Elite 1778T that they had there for comparison purposes and an couple other Ovation's (a tangent, which the MOB is based off of and a deep bowl of some kind.. I think it is a Balladeer.. it is my desktop at the moment, but I can't remember.) The deep bowl was really weird to play because when I think of an Ovation I think a mid bowl since that is what the one I have access to is and that is what I am used to I suppose.

Well, it is time for Zippy to get some sleep.. have to do meals on wheels tomorrow morning so I will have to post more later... just wanted to get an update and my initial thoughts on the MOB Playing experience outthere.

G'night and God Bless you all and may He keep you safe in your travels...
