When will people learn?

No, really, some little kid in brooklyn was killed recently (yesterday, I believe) over an iPod. Now, come on people, it's a fricken iPod.. yes, I wanted one for along time before my dad decided to give me his (thanks, dad!) but it's not something that I would ever kill someone over. This same kind of thing used to happen over Nike Air Jordans when I was a kid (and it still does appearantly) and it was just as sick then as it is now. People really need to grow up and realize that stuff is not all there is to life. Just because you have an iPod and/or a Bently doesn't mean you are a better person than the guy with transistor radio and/or a 1977 Pinto . People need to realize that there are better things in life than just having a lot of stuff; things like having love, your life (that it, being alive) and the chance to just relax and enjoy a beautiful day outside. Lets all try to change the world for a better, this kind of stupid, idiot killing has to stop!

My condolences go out to the family of the 15 year old who was killed over a little white bundle of green plastic inards and some heavy metals we call an iPod. My prayers are with you!

Happy 4th of July by the way.

My new computer.. more or less

So, appearantly it's been a few days since my last update, or over two months, however you look at it. You may be asking yourself what I have been up to lately that would make me not post for so long, well, I'll tell you. I had stuff to do for school, exams and alll that jazz, then I had to wait for my new computer (A G4 Tower) to arrive here at my parents where I have been staying. That showed up about a month ago or so now. I have been using it and mostly avoiding my website until I decided I want to get a digital camera, I then decided I need a place to put them all.. my website is that perfect place to do so, so I am getting back into it, I will likely be giving it a face lift here sometime when I get time to do so between my two jobs so look out for that. I have some pictures up in a gallery system right now with more to come. The Gallery can be found at http://www.daveshier.com/photos . Thanks to Aaron Mitti ( http://www.aaronmitti.com ) for hooking me up and being a generally great web host.anyway, more to come.. worked 18 hours today.. time to relax.. catch all y'all later!
